Crosby Hires Cherlynn Pennington as the Director of Business Performance and Project Management Office (PMO)

Crosby announces that Cherlynn Pennington, has joined the company in the position of Director of Business Performance and Project Management Office (PMO). 

Cherlynn comes to Crosby with an extensive background in Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence at
 Global Power Equipment and Baker Hughes, Inc.  In these roles, she facilitated business process improvements to drive a culture of learning that is focused on value creation and sustainable results around reduced lead time and improved customer delivery.

Cherlynn’s role is new to the organization, and she will be driving Operational Excellence (Lean) efforts within all aspects the North America Business while also managing the North American GDP process.   As part of this role, she will work with the North America leadership team to identify, and execute, breakthrough opportunities that will drive Customer Satisfaction and improved financial performance.

Crosby Hires Ryan Clark as the Director of Business Development for Oil and Gas

Crosby is pleased to announce another addition to its commercial team.  Ryan Clark has joined The Crosby Group as Director of Business Development for Oil and Gas.  “We are excited to welcome Ryan to the Crosby team.  Ryan’s wealth of experience from his roles at companies such as Oceaneering, Aker Solutions, and Oil States will build on Crosby’s long standing commitment to the Oil & Gas industry and our distributors that support it.”  said Jared Knudson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Crosby.   Ryan will be based in Houston, TX.

Crosby is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul DeMattie to the new position of Director of Business Development for Infrastructure. “We are excited to kick off the formation of our new business development team with Paul’s appointment. His experience and success in supporting key infrastructure and construction projects such as the Tappan Zee Bridge along, with his experience working with Crosby distributors makes him uniquely qualified for this role.” said Jared Knudson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Crosby.  Prior to this new role Paul was Regional Sales Manager for Crosby’s Eastern region.

Crosby Announces Hiring of Chief Financial Officer

The Crosby Group, a leading, global manufacturer of critical lifting and rigging equipment, announced the hiring of Laura Murphy-Wolf as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 31, 2017. “We are excited to welcome Laura to the Crosby team. She is an experienced financial leader who brings a breadth of strategic skills and leadership capabilities,” said Jared Knudson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Crosby. “I am confident that Laura’s experience in senior finance roles, especially within performance-oriented manufacturing organizations, will be highly additive to the Crosby organization.”.

Ms. Murphy-Wolf was most recently the CFO of Faro Technologies, a leading global 3D measurement, imaging and realization technology company. Prior to that, she spent six years in a variety of increasingly senior financial positions at Stericycle, Inc., a global business services provider of essential and highly specialized compliance-based solutions, serving ultimately as the Vice President Finance / CFO of Healthcare Compliance Solutions. Prior to her time at Stericycle, Ms. Murphy-Wolf was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Philips Lighting Electronics, North America. Early in her career, Laura spent 15 years in a variety of senior financial roles at Ford Motor Company in the United States and internationally. Laura holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison

Crosby Hires Jon Backes as the General Manager, Tulsa

Crosby is pleased to announce that Jon Backes will be joining the company in the position of General Manager, Tulsa.

Jon comes to us from Culligan International, Rosemont, IL, where he was responsible for directing multiple distribution and manufacturing sites. He has success in operations management, creating cross-functional team leadership, global logistics operations, customer relationship management and strategy deployment.

Jon will be tasked with driving transformational change in the Tulsa site as it relates to Safety, Quality and Delivery. Jon will also be responsible for implementing new directives for growth and better efficiency, which will result in a more customer-focused organization. 

Crosby Hires Melissa Phillips as the OEM Sales Director

Crosby is  pleased to announce that we are expanding the Crosby Sales force to provide enhanced customer focus and support to our OEM Customers.

Melissa Phillips has recently joined Crosby in the position of OEM Sales Director.

Melissa comes to Crosby from Ahlstrom Filtration where she oversaw OEM customers with annual sales exceeding $70 million.  She brings with her the experience of partnering with OEM customers to understand their needs and challenges and then developing strategies that will support these customers.

This is an exciting addition to the Crosby team that will continue our focus of putting the customers first.
